Peter Rowan is an artist manager, promoter, festival provocateur, and “permitter of noise that disturbs others” based in Saint John, New Brunswick. Peter works between Saint John, Toronto, and Los Angeles.

In his 30-years-and-counting in the industry, it has become clear that Peter has a “festival problem”. He is a co-founder of Halifax Pop Explosion, PopMontreal, and Quality Block Party and he has managed a host of weird and wonderful artists including Sloan, Eric’s Trip, Hardship Post, Julie Doiron, and Motherhood. Through his management company PRAM, Peter currently manages Saint John’s traveling noise complaints, Little You Little Me, doom-folk artist, Tooth & the Fang, and singing sensation, sadie. Peter also works with Aporia Records and Publishing as an industry consultant and currently hosts a music column on CBC Radio in Saint John.

In all of his work, Peter tries his best to cultivate collaborative, inclusive environments that support emerging artists. The Greville Tapes Music Club Project creates new collaborations between musical artists in the region and Tin Can Chronicles Podcast promotes artists, musicians, events, and arts workers in the region. Peter is grateful for the opportunity to help artists succeed.
